“THE WORD” Center Ministries are those ministry offerings that focus on equipping the body of Christ through the ministry of helps and volunteering. The pre-‐requisite for participation in any of our ministries is completion of the Pursuing your Purpose classes.
WelcomeTeam (Seater, Greeters, Parking,)
The Welcome Team is a body of volunteer staff who work together to park, greet, transport and seat members and visitors who come to our church. The Welcome Team embraces the concept of one, unified group of individuals that invite guests into the house of the Lord in a congenial manner, ensuring that everyone who chooses to visit our church gets a sense of the spirit of love that undergirds our organization. Individuals who serve on The Welcome Team are the initial representation of our Pastor and First Lady and it is imperative that they accurately convey the heart of our man and woman of God in their attitude and acts of service. Remember, love is the key that will open the hearts of the unsaved to God.
Health Ministry
The objective of this ministry is two-‐fold: (1) To always be prepared to provide emergency medical attention during any and all services; and (2) To raise awareness about the physical and mental health issues affecting the community. This ministry also conducts health fairs, seminars, and health screenings throughout the year. This ministry is open to all members who are CPR certified, in the medical field and/or other occupations.
Nursery Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to lead a time of worship and learning where preschool aged children can discover God. Your ministry responsibilities include playing with the child or directing his/her play, reading to him/her, praying for each child, exhibiting Christ-like patience and love, and relating the events of the day to the lesson and theme in words the child can understand. You will ensure a safe, secure, nurturing, clean, and efficient care to our children. Because we honor the safety of our children, ministry workers must be willing to undergo a background check. Join the Children’s Ministry team as we work with our children to strengthen them in Christ.

Department of Assimilation
New Members Care (Coming Soon)
The purpose of this ministry is to welcome and assimilate new disciples into “THE WORD” Center family by offering continuous follow-‐up, orientation and guidance to their course of service. Members of New Members Care are committed to providing support to all new members of “THE WORD” Center with regard to registering for new member courses in addition to preparing them for excellence in ministry.

He also intended it to be a place where we discover, develop and use our gifts. More importantly committing to a local church gives us the chance to be used by God in fulfilling His mission for our lives, our community and the world.
